A NEWPORT man has appeared in court changed with manslaughter.
Phillip Bartlett, 39 of Daniel Place, Newport appeared before Newport Magistrates this morning, charged with unlawfully killing Kevin Albert Wilmott.
Mr Wilmott died after an incident on December 17 at Clytha Square, Newport.
He was intitially taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, but was later transferred to the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff with head injuries.
His condition deteriorated and life support was terminated on December 28.
Bartlett is due to appear before Newport Crown court on January 10.
