Thirty trees were planted outside the Bulwark Scouts' headquarters as part of the celebrations of the centenary of scouting.
Monmouthshire Scouts applied to local councils for grants to help with the celebrations and Chepstow town council supported the request.
The Scouts worked with the Woodland Trust and have planted Silver Birch, Rowan, Cherry, Hornbeam and Field Maple at their Pembroke Road headquarters. A similar planting event is planned for the county area camp at Botany Bay, Tintern.
The grant from the town council also helped send two Bulwark scouts to the recent World Jamboree in Essex and will also be used for a commemorative plaque for scouting's centenary.
