Pandy Hall was packed for the Nativity and Concert presented by the children of Llanvihangel Crucorney Primary School, writes Richard Davies. All the pupils took part in an evening divided into three parts. The first was the memorable Donkey for Sale'. Alfie, the donkey in question, was played by Aran Gersten and he was soon joined by all the usual Nativity players with the inn keeper, Joseph and Mary and the Baby, the angels, shepherds and three Kings. The story was narrated clearly by James Ikin and Tamzin McPhillips and the play, acted out by the 4 to 7 year old Infants, included seven songs beautifully sung by all the children. The second part was a very entertaining section of four poems recited by Years 3 to 6 and the third part of the evening was a jolly singalong. The children rounded these off with a spirited version of Twelve Days of Christmas Food' and closed with Dymunwn Nadolig Lawen a Flwyddyn Newydd Dda.' All in all this was an excellent and varied production for which Headteacher Kathryn Evans and her staff are to be congratulated.
