AN Audi A3 driver caught doing 109mph on a 70mph stretch of road has been fined £500.
Rhys Jones, 37, of St Lukes Road, Dukestown, Tredegar, was clocked speeding on the A465 in Rhymney.
Newport Magistrates’ Court heard how the offence took place on December 4, 2020.
As well as being fined, Jones was ordered to pay £90 costs and a £50 surcharge.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.
