COVID rates in parts of Gwent now exceed 300, the latest figures show.
MSOA (middle layer super output areas) data released by Public Health Wales shows that two areas of Gwent have some of the highest rates in Wales.
In the seven days between July 1 and July 7, there were 24 new cases recorded in Pontnewydd & Upper Cwmbran, giving the area a rate of 314.1 cases per 100,000 people, the highest in the region.
Abersychan is also among the worst affected areas over the last week.
The area recorded 18 new cases for a rate of 243.1, putting it in the top ten per cent across Wales.
Elsewhere, in Newport, Pill & Docks, Stow Hill and Beechwood all have rates north of 200 cases per 100,000 residents.
As does Chepstow South in Monmouthshire and Ebbw Vale North & Glyncoed in Blaenau Gwent.

- Rassau and Beaufort: eight new cases; a rate of 113.6 per 100,000 people.
- Brynmawr: five new cases; a rate of 90.1 per 100,000 people.
- Blaina and Nantyglo: seven new cases; a rate of 73.8 per 100,000 people.
- Ebbw Vale North and Glyncoed: 16 new cases; a rate of 204.1 per 100,000 people.
- Ebbw Vale South and Cwm: 10 new cases; a rate of 117.9 per 100,000 people.
- Tredegar and Georgetown: three new cases; a rate of 35.9 per 100,000 people.

- Bargoed: three new cases; a rate of 48.6 per 100,000 people.
- St Cattwg: 11 new cases; a rate of 146.6 per 100,000 people.
- Pengam and Cefn Fforest: six new cases; a rate of 77.4 per 100,000 people.
