FAMILY and friends of a 21-year-old who died in Brynmawr have paid tribute to the man they say "touched the hearts of everyone he met."
Christopher Lambie, originally from West Lothian, Scotland, died in his sleep and was discovered by his father in the early hours of Thursday morning.
He was described by family members as "a typical 21-year-old who loved hanging around with his mates and having a laugh," and said that he will be sadly missed.
Devastated by the news, they told the Argus: "He would have given you the earth if he could, but sadly he can't any more."
His father William Lambie, 50 said: "He made a lot of friends wherever he went and he touched the hearts of everybody he met."
His brother David, 24, who Christopher lived with at the Davies Street house, said: "I will miss you very much Chris, you have left such an aching hole in our hearts that will never be replaced. No one could wish for a better brother."
Christopher Lambie had lived in Brynmawr for approximately eight months and had been working for an Abergavenny-based construction firm.
The cause of Mr Lambie's death is still unknown.
Gwent Police is investigating the death and initially a call went out for witnesses to a possible altercation in Factory Road in the town late Tuesday night into early Wednesday, which was believed to have been connected with Mr Lambie's death.
Now police say that has been ruled out following a post mortem, but they are still treating it as suspicious.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the death of Mr Lambie to contact them on 01633 838111.
