A ROAD is closed in Caerphilly due to a "medical emergency".
Commercial Street in Gilfach has been closed by Gwent Police as emergency services deal with the incnident on the junction of Maes-Y-Graig Street and Thomas Street.
Welsh Ambulance have confirmed this was due to a "medical emergency" with one patient taken to hospital.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called today (September 2) at approximately 12.05pm to reports of a medical emergency on Commerical Street, Gilfach.
"We responded with an ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and were supported by Wales Air Ambulance.
"One patient was taken by road to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.”

The force are asking for people to avoid the area and find alternative routes where possible.
