A trip to see The Nutcracker made a special end of term treat for a small group of teachers, parents and pupils from Ysgol Y Ffin.
The traditional Christmas ballet tells the story of Clara and her special present of a magic Nutcracker. During the night the Nutcraker turns into a prince, defeats the evil mouse king and takes Clara to the Kingdom of the sweets to watch exotic dancers and meet the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Everyone was enchanted by the magical production at St David's Hall in Cardiff, which was danced this year by the Kiev Classical Ballet. For some it was their first visit to a live production and they were clearly moved by the combination of orchestra and dance and being so close to the stage.
