HOTEL chain Travelodge have released discounted room rates for families ahead of October half-term.
The budget hotelier, already known for rooms on the lower end of the price scale, is axing the cost ahead of what is typically a busy period – with schools breaking up in mid-to-late October.
In total, over 80,000 rooms are being sold for £29 from October 18 through to November 1.
And, in a bid to attract families, the deal includes family rooms – which works out at £7.25 per person, per night.
Across the UK, Travelodge operates 578 hotels, and the offer is valid at the vast majority of these – with one exception.
The only hotels in their portfolio which are not included are those found in Central London.

It is also noted that the offer is subject to availability, and is not available at every hotel, every night.
According to a Travelodge spokesman, “The £29 room-release offers families the chance to spend quality time together on a magical short stay that won’t break the bank.
“It’s also a fantastic and affordable opportunity to discover the dazzling displays of autumn for those wanting to add a bit of colour to the first school holidays of the academic year.”

Locally, Newport is home to one Travelodge, located on Bridge Street in the city centre.
Elsewhere in Gwent, there is a hotel on Beddau Way in Caerphilly.
However, it is worth pointing out that residents in Gwent are probably more likely to be looking for hotels elsewhere, rather than those on their own doorstep.
But, with hundreds of Travelodge hotels across the UK, it is fairly tricky to find a medium-to-large town without one.
For those looking for a night or two away, but not necessarily looking to travel too far, Cardiff is home to a few hotels – including two in the city centre on Queen Street and St Mary’s Street respectively.
There are also three further hotels in the chain on the outskirts of the capital, at Llanderyn, Whitchurch, and Atlantic Wharf.
What’s more, a short distance across the border, Travelodge hotels can be found in Bristol.
