A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.
DOMINIC MORGAN, 26, of Conway Road, Newport, was ordered to pay £2,021 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by gathering with another person without reasonable excuse at Somerton Park on February 21.
AMINAH NASSA, 21, of Bideford Close, Newport, was ordered to pay £2,021 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by gathering with another person without reasonable excuse at Clos Ennig, Bettws, on February 22.

ANGHARAD GWENLLIAN YEMM, 19, of Trem Penallta, Hengoed, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £2,021 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by gathering with another person without reasonable excuse at Glenview Terrace, Llanbradach, on February 19.
RONAN REES, 18, of Victoria Road, Abersychan, Pontypool, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Varteg Road on February 12.
His driving licence was endorsed with six points.

RHYS LEE SPENCE, 25, of Blaenau Gwent Rows, Abertillery, was ordered to pay £292 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance at McDonald’s, Ebbw Vale, on February 12.
His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
SCOTT ADAM PRICE, 33, of Skenfrith Close, Cefn Fforest, was banned from driving for nine months after he admitted being in charge of a motor vehicle on the A4042, Pontypool, on August 5, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, 59 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
He also pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.
Price was ordered to pay £359 in fines, costs and a surcharge.

KEVIN JOHN HANCOX, aged 47, of Dolphin Street, Newport, was ordered to pay £987.95 in compensation and fines after he admitted stealing a Samsung Galaxy Edge mobile phone worth £449.95 and a leaf blower valued at £350.
KALLUM STACEY MOGFORD, 24, of Coed Celynen Drive, Abercarn, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified on Park Road, Newbridge, on August 2.
He must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
THOMAS BUCHANAN, 28, of Pen-Y-Mead, Pontllanfraith, was sentenced to a six-month community order after he admitted stealing a bottle of vodka from Asda and lamb from Farmfoods in Blackwood.
He was made the subject of a drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £95 in compensation.
ADELA GABOROVA, 22, of Corporation Road, Newport, was ordered to pay £2,021 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by gathering with another person without reasonable excuse on February 15.
CHARLENE GROVELL, 29, of Oak Tree Drive, Cefn Hengoed, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £439 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by leaving or being outside of a place where she was living, without reasonable excuse, at Hanbury Road, Bargoed, on February 22.
IOAN STEFAN, 32, of Cromwell Road, Newport, was ordered to pay £2,021 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by gathering with another person without reasonable excuse at Lennard Street on February 22.
