Gwent-based law firm Bellavia & Associates has expanded its team with the appointment of a new legal and administrative assistant.
Megan Lear, 22, will be responsible for taking phone calls, dealing with post, opening all new legal matters and making sure all compliance is completed correctly.
Originally from Pontypool and a former pupil at Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw, fluent Welsh speaker Megan completed her law degree at Aberystwyth University before achieving a Master’s degree in Legal Practice at Cardiff University. Megan completed her degree in Welsh and English and has a professional Welsh skills certificate.
Megan supports the firm’s team of lawyers and associates – led by managing director and company founder Zep Bellavia – to deliver cost-effective, efficient client services.
Her role ranges from processing court forms and issuing money claims, to obtaining judgements and initiating enforcement processes – ensuring that in uncertain times, customers can be certain of Bellavia & Associates.
Megan has also become the company’s in-house IT trouble-shooter, dealing with everything from managing the Bellavia & Associates’ website and social media platforms, to setting up court hearings and video conferences with clients and liaising with IT consultants and suppliers.
Managing director and founder Zep Bellavia said: “Megan is the first voice most people will hear when they contact us, and I’ve been really impressed with her friendly and professional manner with clients and her willingness to learn.
“I’m looking forward to helping Megan become a first-class solicitor.”
