Everyone loves a bargain, as the old saying goes.
But sometimes, there are things that are just worth paying for.
While the satisfaction of saving a penny or two feels like a win in the short term, sometimes, spending that little bit extra makes for a smart, longer-term investment.
Admittedly, in this instance, there is a property which will set any buyer back more than a few pennies.
Woodwards Farm has a lot of appealing features – but, with an asking price of more than £2 million, these features don’t come cheap.

What’s so special about this one?
Woodwards Farm has been brought to market by Fine and Country Usk, and is listed online on Rightmove and Zoopla.
Built in 2018, it has been designed to a modern and high quality standard – but the current owners have placed it on the market, in a bid to find a new owner.
According to the selling agents, this property is a “spacious and spectacularly positioned unique home is situated in a highly sought after area”.
In all fairness, they have a point.
The home is surrounded by stunning countryside, and offers views across the Usk Valley, and the Celtic Manor Resort and the 2010 Ryder Cup Golf Course.
But, as good as the views are, there is an argument that the property is just as good – if not better.
Inside, there are five bedrooms, and five bathrooms.
Set out over two floors, the ground floor consists of a sitting room, family room, gym, open plan kitchen/dining room, utility room and double garage.
Upstairs, there is five spacious double bedrooms, all with en-suites, one of which is the master bedroom which has a dressing room and access to a study or potential further bedroom leading from it.
Next to the property itself, there is a stone barn, which has been renovated in recent times.
It is said to be ideal for use as either a home office space, or as additional accommodation.
This consists of two downstairs rooms, and two upstairs – with both having en-suite shower rooms.
The property also has grazing paddocks, kennels, three stables with a tack room, a purpose built garden shed with a storage area basement and attached greenhouse.
There is also plenty of garden space, with the highlight being an ornamental fish pond.
Finally, through separate negotiation, there is also an additional seven acres available with an agricultural barn.
Woodwards Farm is on the market with a guide price of £2,250,000, and can be viewed online at Rightmove here.
