A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.
LUKE MCGOLDRICK, 26, of Conway Road, Newport, was ordered to pay £2,021 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by leaving/being outside of place where he was living without reasonable excuse at Somerton Park on February 21.
NATHAN MURPHY, 27, of Cae Glas, Nantyglo, was jailed for six months after he was found guilty of driving whilst disqualified on March 5.
He was banned from driving for two years and ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.
SION PRICE, 45, of Gordon Road, Blackwood, was banned from driving for 27 months after he admitted driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance on High Street on August 4.
He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
ARNIS NASSA, 41, of no fixed abode, was jailed for eight weeks after he admitted fraud at the Esso Garages (Newport) Ltd on Corporation Road by making a false representation with a Barclaycard for £215.26 and being in breach of a criminal behaviour order.
He was ordered to pay £300.26 in compensation and a surcharge.

DONNA JANE LEE, 35, of Commercial Street, Newport, was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after she pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth £272.86 from Asda and public disorder on Lower Dock Street on September 10.
She was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.
IAN DAVID EVANS, 43, of Waundeg, Nantybwch, Tredegar, was jailed for eight weeks after he pleaded guilty to the theft of meat worth £31.92 from Lidl and being in breach of a criminal behaviour order on September 11.
He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.

HASSAN ALI, 19, of Old School Close, Caldicot, was banned from driving for 28 days for driving without insurance on Chepstow Road on January 19.
He was ordered to pay £319 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
LUKE OLIVER WALKER, 25, of Wye Court, Thornhill, Cwmbran, was banned from driving for two years after he pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen on August 6.
He was ordered to carry out 90 hours of unpaid work and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
KYLE HOOPER, 28, of Feering Street, Newport, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted assaulting a police officer on July 11.
He was ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work and pay £135 in compensation and costs.
FORBIN PARAMBEN JOSE, 33, of Old Cardiff Road, Newport, was banned from driving for 20 months after he admitted drink driving with 63 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on August 13.
He was ordered to pay £315 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
RHYS HALL, 20, of Gordon Avenue, Sofrydd, Abertillery, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine in Newport on August 14.
ANTHONY MICHAEL PAUL COURTNEY, 68, of Hengoed Road, Penpedairheol, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
His driving record endorsed with six points.
MOLLY HANNAH GRAY, 25, of Aberthaw Close, Newport, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on February 22.

LEWIS MARTYN WOODFORD VAUGHAN, 38, of Caroline Road, New Inn, Pontypool, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
