THERE have been 13 new deaths relating to Covid-19 recorded in Wales according to Public Health Wales’ latest statistics – with one in Gwent.
This brings the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s total to 1,002 and the Wales-wide total to 5,852.
The data released today, Sunday September 26, by Public Health Wales is the 24-hour period up to 9am on Friday, September 24.
Of the 3,303 cases recorded in that period, 681 were recorded in Gwent. Caerphilly continues to be one of the areas with the highest new cases, recording 258. Newport recorded 163 new cases, Torfaen recorded 118, Blaenau Gwent recorded 83 and Monmouthshire recorded 59.

Only Ceredigion recorded less cases than Monmouthshire – with 47 – and Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cardiff and Swansea are the only local authorities to record more cases than Caerphilly.
