TRAIN passengers have been warned to expect delays after a culvert in Magor burst this afternoon.
The culvert burst at around 2.15pm and initally all four lines in the area were under water.
Two of the lines were cleared by 3.45pm but trains were restricted to travelling at just 20 mph.
One rail passenger who contacted the Argus spoke of trains queuing back along the line because of the flooding.
A spokesperson from Network Rail said that people hoping to travel through Magor should now expect delays between 10 and 15 minutes.
He said that the delays are likely to go on for the rest of the evening.
The line from South Wales to London Paddington is also experiencing delays due to flooding between Swindon and Bristol Parkway.
