JEFF Wayne's musical version of The War of The Worlds returns to the UK stage in 2022 with a star-studded cast.
The tour will feature Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton as The Artilleryman, Blue’s Duncan James as Parson Nathaniel, Steps and stage star Claire Richards as Beth, The Parson’s wife.
Liam Neeson will return to his role in 3D holography as The Journalist and Jeff Wayne will conduct the eight-piece Black Smoke Band and symphonic ULLAdubULLA Strings.
The show will feature the iconic three-tonne, 30 foot-tall Martian Fighting Machine firing real flame Heat Rays at the audience.
Kevin Clifton said: “I am unbelievably excited to be joining the cast of Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds. In 2022 this particular story could not be more relevant.
"After so long without live performance, what better experience could there be than this spectacular arena production complete with a full live onstage orchestra and special effects."
The tour, which is marking 16 years on stage next year, kicks off at Nottingham Motorpoint Arena on March 23 and finishes at London O2 on April 9, 2022.
