THERE has been one new death in Gwent relating to Covid-19 according to Public Health Wales’ latest statistics – out of nine in Wales.
This brings the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s total to 1,007 and the Wales-wide total to 5,879.
Of the 3,369 cases recorded in that period, 685 were recorded in Gwent. Caerphilly continues to be one of the areas with the highest new cases, recording 234. Newport recorded 187 new cases, Torfaen recorded 117, Blaenau Gwent recorded 91 and Monmouthshire recorded 56.
Only Ceredigion recorded a lower number of new cases than Monmouthshire.
