A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court.
RUSSELL LEWIS, 37, of Crown Close, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran, was banned from driving for two years after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 91 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on August 29.
He was ordered to pay £762 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
THOMAS EVANS, 33, of Cae Gorlan Street, Abercarn, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drink driving with 47 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on August 30.
He was ordered to pay £525 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
GARETH RUDGE, 36, of no fixed abode, was jailed for eight weeks after he admitted the theft of a crate of Strongbow Dark Fruit cider worth £10 from the One Stop store, Newbridge, on September 16.
He was ordered to pay £213 in costs and a surcharge.
SARAH LOUISE WOODCOCK, 30, of Aran Court, Thornhill, Cwmbran, was ordered to pay £369 in fines, compensation and a surcharge after she pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and the criminal damage of a window of a police car on August 31.

LEE GRAHAM HOWARD, 46, of Cenydd Terrace, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £199 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted resisting a constable on August 29.

ANTHONY RICHARD WILLIAMS, 38, of Heather Close, Bulwark, Chepstow, was sentenced to a community order after he admitted stealing nine bottles of vodka worth £184.50 from Tesco on July 18.
He must complete a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
ANTHONY THOMAS, 64, of Waters Road, Chepstow, was ordered to pay £279 in fines, costs and a surcharge after he admitted public disorder and the criminal damage of a front window on August 28.
KIRSTY LISA MANSELL, 33, of Clist Road, Bettws, Newport, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Her driving record was endorsed with six points.
JEFFREY AVERY, 55, of Ashgrove Close, Sebastopol, Pontypool, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

ROSS DAVID MEREDITH, 32, of Frome Walk, Bettws, Newport, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

MOHAMMED ADIL, 29, of Highfield Road, Bassaleg, Newport, was ordered to pay £374 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Corporation Road on February 27.
