THERE have been two further deaths in the Gwent area relating to coronavirus according to Public Health Wales’ latest stats.
This brings the total to 1,009. The two deaths were out of five across Wales, which brings the Wales total to 5,897.
Out of the 3,009 newly recorded cases of Covid, 601 come from the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board region.

Caerphilly recorded 213 new cases, Torfaen 153, Newport 123, Monmouthshire 69 and Blaenau Gwent 43 – the lowest in Wales.
