A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.
ROGER DAVID PYLE, 36, of Davies Street, Brynmawr, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to drug driving with cocaine in his blood on Commercial Road, Newport, on March 29.
He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
GAVIN AUSTIN, 48, of Church Street, Bedwas, Caerphilly, was banned from driving for three years after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with namely 63 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Cardiff Road, Newport, on September 5.
He was ordered to pay £525 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

MICHELLE GILLGRASS, 43, of Carlyle Street, Abertillery, was banned from driving for 12 months after she admitted drug driving with a cannabis derivative in her blood on the on the A467 in Crumlin on March 31.
She was ordered to pay £419 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
PHILLIP JONATHAN KIDD, 44, of Webley Gardens, Caerleon, Newport, was banned from driving for 16 months after he admitted drug driving with a cocaine derivative in his blood and driving without insurance on Western Avenue on March 13.
He was ordered to pay £745 in fines, costs and a surcharge.
MALCOLM JONES, 80, of Hengoed Road, Hengoed, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
KEENAN SAWYERS, 23, of Moore Crescent, Newport, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis on June 26.
He was ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge.
CHELSEA FURNIVAL, 24, of Shelley Close, Caldicot, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

DENNEY EVAN ROBERTS, 41, of Tewkesbury Walk, Newport, was fined £50 after he admitted possession of crack cocaine on September 20.
JOAO ALSENIO SILVA BATISTA, 41, of Kensington Place, Newport, was ordered to pay £219 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to stealing meat worth £47.78 from Lidl on September 4.
SALAL SAID, 58, of Dunn Square, Newport, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Clarence Place on May 5.
He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
RICHARD JOHN REES, 43, of Heolddu Road, Bargoed, was banned from driving for 56 days for driving without insurance on the A467 in Newport on September 3.
He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
