A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court.

ARRON FLETCHER, 19, of Duffryn Close, Bassaleg, Newport, was banned from driving for 20 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 76 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Glasllwch Crescent on June 5.

He was ordered to pay £1,704 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge.

CAITLIN COOPER, 20, of Warne Street, Fleur-de-Lys, near Blackwood, was banned from driving for 18 months after she pleaded guilty to drink driving with 72 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Twynyffald Road, Cefn Fforest, on September 5.

She was ordered to pay £419 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ADAM LLEWELYN, 19, of Conway Court, Hendredenny, Caerphilly, was banned from driving for 14 months after he admitted drink driving with 47 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on High Street, Abertridwr, on September 5.

He was ordered to pay £419 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

MOHAMMED IDRIS, 26, of Lewis Close, Newport, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug driving with a cannabis derivative in his blood on Caerleon Road on April 3.

He was ordered to pay £419 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JAMES WILTSHIRE, 31, of Western Avenue, Bulwark, Chepstow, was banned from driving for 19 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 66 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Western Avenue on September 5.

He was ordered to pay £855 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

SHAUN GARETH DAVIES, 28, of Coed Y Moeth Road, Aberbargoed, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted public disorder at the Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran, on September 5.
