Newport-based RWR Recruitment has moved into a larger office space in the city centre.
The recruitment company specialises in contact centre and industrial roles and needed a central Newport location for the team, which has worked from home over the past 18 months.
It's new office is on High Street.
Robyn Walters, the MD of RWR Recruitment, said: “The demand for office space for our business was prompted by the recent relaxation of the working from homes rules and a significant number of new contracts which will require us to bolster our own team by recruiting new staff ourselves.
"It has been widely reported just how active the UK recruitment market is post-Covid and this is certainly true for the clients we are working with in Wales and the South West. Companies are recruiting again, and individuals are seeking new opportunities in the contact centre industry.”
The office has been refurbished by the landlord who has also invested in installing super-fast broadband for occupiers.
Newport-based M4 Property Consultants has been appointed to let the office space.
Dan Smith, director of M4 Property Consultants, said: “As well as the super-fast broadband, we focused on providing a range of offices and suites on flexible terms with scope for businesses to grow and develop without having to move premises. The offices will be available for use 24/7 and provide occupiers with very good access to public transport, and the shops, restaurants located in the city centre.”
Ms Walters said: “We needed to ensure our new location is near public transport, had ease of access for service users of all abilities, and also to be near to local businesses. The new office ticked all of these boxes for us and we are looking forward to continuing to grow our business from here.”
Dan Smith said: “A lot more emphasis is now placed on creating safe, spacious working environments for employees. Rather than having banks of desks located next to each other, businesses want physical spaces between them, break out areas and good ventilation be it air conditioning or windows.
“Newport’s economy needs small businesses to set up and grow and office accommodation like this is ideal.”
