THE latest coronavirus figures from Public Health Wales have been released.
Gwent has recorded 299 new cases of Covid-19 while Wales in total has 1,758, including residents outside Wales.
Two more deaths have been recorded in Wales, taking the total to 5,926. One of those deaths was in Gwent.

In total, 1,016 people have died from the virus in Gwent according to Public Health Wales figures.
Caerphilly has the most cases within Gwent with 89 new cases, while Monmouthshire continues to have comparatively few cases with 31 - the third lowest amount in Wales.
Similar to the stats from yesterday, Torfaen has had a high amount of cases per 100,000 people (73.4).
To put that figure into perspective, the Welsh national average of cases per 100,000 people is 54.4.
Torfaen also has the highest proportion of testing cases that came back positive in Wales with 23.2 per cent.
