Here is a round up of public notices which have appeared in the South Wales Argus over the last week:

* Newport City Council is to introduce residents' parking places on Clyddard Crescent and Kingsmill Terrace, St Julian Street and Rudry Street. The order will be in force between 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday. The order will come into operation on 11 October 2021.

The order will affect:

Clyffard Crescent:

a) Northern side from a point 20.5m east of its junction with Caerau Road B4591 in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 24.3m.

b) Northern side from a point 75m east of its junction with Caerau Road B4591 in an easterly direction for distance of approximately 55.5m.

c) Northern side from a point five metres east of its junction with Kingsmill Terrace in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 27.6m.

d) Southern side from a point 45.5m east of the centreline of the junction of Kingsmill Terrace with Clyffard Crescent in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 73m.

Kingsmill Terrace

e) North eastern side from a point 7.5m north of the junction with Clyffard Crescent in a north westerly direction for approximately 50.8m.

St Julian Street

a) Northern side from a point 15.8m from its junction with St Woolos Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 35.6m.

b) Southern side from a point 27.8m from its junction with St Woolos Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 64.8m.

Rudry Street

a) Western side from a point three metres from its junction with Tregare Street at the start of the normal kerb height, in a northerly direction for approximately 95.6m.

b) Eastern side from a point 34.5m from its junction with Tregare Street in a northerly direction for approximately 11m.

c) Eastern side from a point 63m from its junction with Tregare Street in a northerly direction for approximately 11m.

* Newport City Council is to temporarily close a footpath between Grovenor Road and Caernarvon Drive. No alternative route is available. The reason is to accommodate strengthening works to Bassaleg Underbridge. The proposed order will be operative from October 10, 2021, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

* Howells Solicitors, Cardiff, is looking for anyone who may have a claim against or an interest in the estate of Pamela Andrews (deceased), formerly of 88 Aberthaw Road, Newport, who died on May 4, 2021.

* The London Gazette, Norwich, is looking for anyone who may have a claim against or an interest in the estate of Sheila Rosemary Lloyd (deceased), formerly of 87 Larch Grove, Newport, who died on July 19, 2021.

* The Welsh Government is to introduce temporary speed restrictions and no overtaking on the A4042 trunk road from Court Farm Roundabout, Torfaen, to Hardwick Roundabout in Monmouthshire. The order is necessary for work to be undertaken.

The order will be to temporarily:

1. Impose a 40mph speed limit, as required, on lengths of the trunk road specified below

2. Impose a 10mph speed limit during convoy working on the length of the trunk road specified below

3. Prohibit all vehicles from overtaking during convoy working on the length of the trunk road specified below.

It is expected that the order will operate intermittently overnight from 8pm to 6am from October 16, 2021, to October 27, 2021, or until the temporary traffic signs are permanently removed.

Temporary 40mph speed limit:

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 49m north east of the centre point of Court Farm Roundabout to a point 20m south of its junction with Croes Y Pant Lane near Penperlleni.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 107m south of the centre point of the entre to the dwelling known as Maes-y-Beryn to a point 18 south of the centre point of its junction with the County Highway to Maerdy.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 110m north west of the centre point of its junction with Pen-Heol-y-Bwra to a point 106m south of the centre point of its junction with the B4269 to Llanfoist.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 201m south of the centre point of its junction with Hardwick Lane to a point 35m south of the centre point of Hardwick Roundabout.

Temporary 10mph speed limit and prohibition of overtaking during convoy working:

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 49m north east of the centre point of Court Farm Roundabout to a point 35m south of the centre point of Hardwick Roundabout.

* The Welsh Government is to temporarily ban vehicles from the westbound off-slip road at Llanfoist interchange on the A465 trunk road in Monmouthshire. This measure is being taken to allow work to be carried out.

The alternative route for westbound vehicles will be to continue westbound to exit at Glanbaiden Roundabout, re-join the A465 eastbound to Llanfoist interchange and leave the trunk road there.

The order will operate from 8pm on October 4, 2021, to 6am on October 9, 2021.

* We Pub 108 Ltd, of Rhiwderin Inn, Caerphilly Road, Newport, is applying to Newport City Council to vary the premises licence for the sale of alcohol on Christmas Day from noon to 10.30pm.
