AN ARTIST'S impression has been included in a planning application for a glass bottle plant in Ebbw Vale.
CiNER Glass UK’s planning application for a proposed Ebbw Vale plant is now live.
The planning application to build a glass container manufacturing facility which utilises recycled glass within the Rassau Industrial Estate has been made live on the Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council planning portal.
Following a pre-application consultation during the summer, a full planning application was registered with the council, on September 22, 2021.
The application (Ref: C/2021/0278) and the supporting documents are available to view on the council website.
Executive Board Member of CiNER Glass Ltd, Mrs Didem Ciner, met with First Minister, Mark Drakeford MS to outline the economic and environmental benefits of the project at the proposed site, a 21.5h vacant plot within the Rassau Industrial Estate, north of Ebbw Vale in Blaenau Gwent.

CiNER’s £350m investment would create around 600 highly skilled jobs at the facility.
CiNER hopes that the size and scale of the project can act as a catalyst for economic regeneration in the South Wales Valleys.
The proposed development would also create significant supply chain opportunities, with 400 – 500 jobs created during the construction phase, with several hundred people working on site during the peak of construction.
Any comments regarding the application must be submitted by email to Blaenau Gwent Borough County Council (planning@blaenau-gwent.gov.uk) or in writing to Civic Centre, Ebbw Vale NP23 6XB by Monday, November 15.
After this date, the council have eight weeks to consider the application, with a decision expected by January 2022.
