A PHOTO taken in Rogerstone has got some people scratching their heads wondering what the cause of fiery image was.
Howard Davies took the photo as the sun was setting on September 23 while walking on St John's Crescent.
He was bewildered at the cause of what appears to be a fire coming out the top of a nearby hill.

Social media users were quick to speculate on what the cause of the image may be, with theories ranging from a fire to a broken wind turbine.
Mr Davies himself joked that the image was probably caused by Covid and aliens.
One person claimed to have seen smoke coming from a nearby wind turbine, though this remains to be confirmed.
One theory that has gained the most traction is that Mr Davies saw an optical illusion caused by the light from the sunset shining through the vapour trail of an aircraft.
Several commenters noted that they had seen something similar before and that turned out to be the cause.
