A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.
LEWIS CLARKE, 20, of Ridgeway, St Cadoc's, Pontypool, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to drug driving with cocaine in his blood on March 13.
He was ordered to pay £470 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
DAFYDD GRIFFITHS, 42, of Torfaen Terrace, Pontypool, was banned from driving for 20 months after he admitted drink driving with 67 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on the A4043 on September 11.
He was ordered to pay £965 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
KEVIN JOHN RING, 52, of Greenfield, Caldicot, was banned from driving for 18 months after he pleaded guilty to drug driving with amphetamine in his blood on March 20.
He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JOSHUA LAKE, 31, of Wyefield Court, Monmouth, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug driving with a cocaine derivative in his blood on the A40 Monmouth Services, Raglan, on April 14.
He was conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge.
BETHUN AMELIA HALVEY, 38, of Usk Road, Bargoed, was banned from driving for 18 months after she admitted drink driving with 68 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Church Street, Rhymney, on September 11.
She was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JAYSON MORETON, aged 29, of Underhill Crescent, Abergavenny, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to stealing clothes worth £20 from Peacocks, Cwmbran, and clothes worth £31 from Matalan, Cwmbran, on August 5.
He was ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge.
KEITH JAMES DIRSKE, 34, of Plas Derwen, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted stealing scaffolding on April 10.
He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
JOSEPH LEE ROBERTS, 34, of George Street, Pontnewynydd, Pontypool, was made the subject of an eight-week electronically monitored curfew after he pleaded guilty to interfering with a motor vehicle on May 9.
He must pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
CAITLIN EDWARDS, 22, of Harold Close, Trellech, Monmouthshire, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without due care and attention on the A466 St Lawrence Road, Chepstow, on April 16.
Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
ION MUNTEANU, 37, of Dewstow Street, Newport, was ordered to pay £1,300 in fines, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance and using a motor vehicle on which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period on Corporation Road on March 17.
His driving record was endorsed with eight points.
SAM JOHN WAREHAM, 26, of Brace Avenue, Abertillery, was ordered to pay £1,058 in fines, costs and a surcharge for driving on Caerleon Road, Newport, with two pneumatic tyres which had the ply or cord exposed on March 17.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
