Beyond the barricade promised to be the UK's leading musical theatre concert with a cast of past principal performers from Les Misérables and other West End productions.
After a little hiccup, one of the performers was stuck in traffic, the show started a little late but with a high level of professionalism so you were not left wanting.
The performers David Fawcett, Katie Leeming, Meshell Dillon and Andy Reiss were all excellent and at times it felt like the venue was too small for their powerful voices.
They covered a whole range of songs from Miss Saigon, The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, We Will Rock You, Blood Brothers and many more major hit productions.
Some of the highlights were Meshell Dillon singing Shadowlands' from the stage production of The Lion King, Katie Leeming singing Marilyn Monroe' and Oh What a night' by Andy Reiss.
They also included one of the newest West End stage shows Spamalot with a brilliant rendition by Meshell Dillon and David Fawcett of The Song that goes Like This' and also Always look on the Bright Side of Life' was performed by David Fawcett and Andy Reiss.
The finale of the show was a compilation of songs from Les Misérables with each member taking one solo song with a fantastic finale of One Day More.
They return to St David's Hall next year on the 15th January 2009.
