A SEBASTOPOL mum who shaved her head after her daughter lost her locks battling breast cancer, has raised £2,400 for Nevill Hall Hospital.
Ann Perry, 66, donated the money to the breast cancer unit as a thank you for their kind support.
Tracy Hook, 47, from Gilwern, lost her hair in a fight against a rare form of breast cancer known as Paget's disease.
Mrs Perry said: "My hair is taking a long time to grow back, which isn't good as it's very cold outside.
"Every time I go outside I have to wear a hat. Still, I'm glad I did it as the hospital was thrilled with the cheque and my daughter was touched by it.
"I don't think what I've done is brave, I just want to support my daughter.
"People keep telling me it suits me and I should keep it like this.
"I couldn't run a marathon to raise money and I had to do something.
"I want to thank everyone who supported me and helped to raise the money."
