A THUG who hit a food bank volunteer in face with a stone during an alcohol-fuelled attack has been jailed.
Phillip Parfitt, 59, pleaded guilty to the shocking attack on Russ Archer in Pontypool on July 23.

The defendant admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Newport Magistrates’ Court heard how the offence was “committed whilst he was under influence of alcohol”.
Parfitt, of The Woodlands, Penygarn, Pontypool, was locked up for six months.
He was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge following his release from prison.
