A LARGE crane was spotted in Newport today, lifting parts of a new building into place.
The crane, in the Ridgeway area of the city, was being used to lift sections of the new Ridgeway and Allt-yr-Yn community centre into place.
Despite driving rain, a large crew of workmen were helping get the large sections of prefabricated building into place.

The lorry from which the pieces were being lifted was parked on a hill which made the initial lift tricky.
The new community centre is located on Ridgeway Hill.
