Here is a round up of public notices published in the South Wales Argus over the last week:
* J W Bassett pubs and bars Limited of Carpenters Arms, 9 High Street, Newport, is applying to Newport City Council for a premises licence for the provision of plays, exhibition of film, live/recorded music and performance of dance from Monday to Sunday 11am to 4am; the sale of alcohol from Monday to Sunday 7am to 4am; and late night refreshment from Monday to Sunday 11pm to 4am.
* R J Webb is applying to Newport City Council for a premises licence for the sale of alcohol, live/recorded music, from Monday to Saturday noon to 12.30am and Sunday noon to 10.30pm and late night refreshment from Monday to Saturday 11pm to 12.30am.
* Gary Robert Davies, trading as Gary Davies Meat Sales, of 21 Caemawr Road, Caldicot, is applying to change an existing Goods Vehicle operator's Licence to add an operating centre to keep three goods vehicles and one trailer at Unit 15-18, Wern Industrial Estate, Rogerstone.
* Newport City Council has received the following planning applications regarding listed buildings and conservation areas:
Change of use of upper floors to create an 11-bedroom house in multiple occupation (sui generis use), the creation of external amenity space and the installation of an additional door facing Llanarth Street to allow access to the bin/bike store at 40-41 Commercial Street.
Proposed development of 122 dwellings, two commercial units (A1 and A3 use classes) and associated works including landscaping, sustainable drainage, car and cycle parking at car park adjacent Endeavour House, Usk Way.
Construction of a two-storey manufacturing, research and development facility, four-storey administration office, linked atrium space, external nitrogen and oxygen storage facility, car parking, sustainable drainage, hard and soft landscaping (including gabion retaining walls) access gates and associated works at Plot 1 & 5 Imperial Park, Celtic Way.
Construction of bifold doors at Nailery Cottage, Hanbury Close, Caerleon
Change of use of Highbury Chambers, to provide 6 residential apartments on upper floors along with associated works at Highbury Chambers, Skinner St.
Conservation area consent for proposed extensions and modernisation of existing two-bedroom house (resubmission of 21/0776) at Rohallion, 15a Stow Park Circle.
Erection of 12 self- contained residential apartments (use class C3) with solar panels, associated access, parking and landscaping at car park, Hill Street.
* Newport City Council intends to dispose of three parcels of open space beside to Ringland Health Centre, Ringland, Newport. The disposal will allow the development of a new health facility.
Parcel 1 - Triangular parcel of landscaped area to the north of the front of the existing health centre comprising a grassed embankment extending to approximately 0.07 acres
Parcel 2 - Grassed area located to the east of the existing health centre, formerly the site of a club which has since been demolished extending to approximately 0.57 acres.
Parcel 3 - Multi Use Games Area located to the south of the existing health centre extending to approximately 0.43 acres (to be replaced).
