A MAN with a history of violence against the police is back behind bars after he attacked another officer.
Shaun Bilton, 33, was jailed for 12 months after he was found guilty in his absence of fresh offences committed in Caerphilly.
At Newport Magistrates’ Court, he was convicted of assaulting one PC, causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm and distress to another and public disorder.

The incident took place in the Grays Gardens are of Graig-Y-Rhacca on May 31.
Bilton was jailed for 32 weeks in January for assaulting police officers.
The defendant, of Dickens Court, Graig-Y-Rhacca, was ordered to pay £988 in compensation, costs and a surcharge.
Outside the court, Gwent Police Superintendent Carl Williams said: “None of our officers should become victims of crime when they are performing their job – working to keep our communities safe.
“We will not tolerate such acts against any emergency worker and remain committed to bringing such offenders to justice. “
