A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.
ASHANTI MITCHELL, 18, of Hendre Farm Drive, Newport, was ordered to pay £574 in fines, costs and a surcharge for riding a motorcycle without a licence and failing to stop for a red light on April 25.
Her driving record was endorsed with five points.
ASHLEY STOCKWELL, 20, of Ton Road, Cwmbran, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Newport Road, New Inn, Pontypool on February 21.
He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
WAYNE FOSTER, 42, of Livale Court, Bettws, Newport, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to resisting a police constable at The Neon, Clarence Place, on September 25.

NICOLE MURREL JONES, 31, of Brynglas Avenue, Pontllanfraith, was jailed for 19 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after she admitted the attempted theft of alcohol worth £250 from Morrisons in Caerphilly and three counts of stealing alcohol from there worth £221, £420 and £125.
The offences took place between September 18 and October 8 and she was ordered to pay £979 in compensation, costs and a surcharge.
JAMIE TYRONE CARSLEY, 31, of Emlyn Road, Talywain, Pontypool, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted assaulting a police officer in Ystrad Mynach on September 24.
He was made the subject of a 90-day alcohol abstinence requirement, a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £703 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge.
DEAN JOHN BALL, 50, of Emlyn Avenue, Glyn Coed, Ebbw Vale, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
RYAN JONES, 33, of Waunllwyn Crescent, Blackwood, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to possession of amphetamine on December 14, 2020.
CINDY PAULINE PARR, 50, of Cripps Avenue, Cefn Golau, Tredegar, was ordered to pay £424 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on March 25.
Her driving record was endorsed with six points.
