Ella Slocombe was born four weeks early on September 16, 2021, at the Grange University Hospital, near Cwmbran, weighing 5lb 3oz. Her parents are Megan and Lewis Slocombe, of Newbridge, and her big brother is Ethan (two). Ella's mum Megan suffered a seizure due to eclampsia an hour before Ella was born. Following her birth, which went really well, Ella was taken to NICU where she was put on an oxygen machine. After a week and half in NICU she was finally allowed home and was able to meet her big brother Ethan for the first time.

Jacob Percy Davies was born at home in Pontypool on September 28, 2021, weighing an impressive 10lb 10oz. His parents are Nikki Carter and Daniel Davies and his siblings are Archie (seven) and Denni (one). Nikki's waters broke at home and she waited for contractions while Daniel was coming home from work. They phoned the midwives who said someone would be waiting for them at Nevill Hall but within minutes contractions went from four minutes apart to two. After phoning for a paramedic, a midwife who was close by was able to get to them within 20 minutes. After three hours 20 minutes in labour Jacob arrived with his brothers and grandparents downstairs.
