EPILEPTIC Oscar the dog is in need of a home.
The four-year-old English Springer Spaniel is currently being cared for at All Creatures Great and Small sanctuary in Cwmbran, but workers there are hoping he can soon be rehoused.
"He has been here since September but he needs a good home now," said Dianne Daniels who works at the centre.
"He will be on tablet medication and that will go on for the rest of his life, and we need somebody willing to understand that.
Ms Daniels said Oscar was a happy and lively dog, but anyone wishing to adopt him should understand his condition would not get better - but it could deteriorate.
"He falls over - he'll be down for a couple of seconds and then he'll be up and fine again," she said.
"Oscar is a typical Springer - always full of energy so he needs a lot of walking."
Ms Daniels said anyone wishing to adopt Oscar, should call in at the Cwmbran sanctuary at Church Farm, Llanfrechfa, Cwmbran where they could discuss any possible adoption before filling in a short questionnaire.
