HERE is a round-up of everyone who has been before Newport Magistrates Court and fined for speeding over the past week.
The following cases are for the week from October 19-26.
Kate Wright
Wright was fined more than £100 at Newport Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 19.
The 38-year-old, of Gaer Vale, Newport, was clocked travelling at 40mph on a 30mph section of Cardiff Road in Newport.
She was fined £125 for the offence, which occurred on April 9, 2021.
She was also ordered to cover costs of £90 and pay a victim surcharge of £34.
Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
Andreea Marin
Marin was fined more than £200 at Newport Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, October 20.
The 21-year-old, of St James Street, Weston-Super-Mare, was clocked travelling at 35mph on a 30mph section of the A468 in Rhiwderin.
She was fined £220 for the offence, which occurred on April 9, 2021.
She was also ordered to cover costs of £90 and pay a victim surcharge of £34.
Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
Luke Carroll
Carroll was fined more than £200 at Newport Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, October 20.
The 34-year-old, of Hawthorne Close, Llanmartin, was clocked travelling at 39mph on a 30mph section of Chepstow Road in Newport.
He was fined £220 for the offence, which occurred on April 9, 2021.
He was also ordered to cover costs of £90 and pay a victim surcharge of £34.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
Paul Harrison
Harrison was fined more than £200 at Newport Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 22.
The 50-year-old, of Brynteg Avenue, Pontllanfraith, was clocked travelling at 38mph on a 30mph section of Newbridge Road, Pontllanfraith.
He was fined £220 for the offence, which occurred on April 10, 2021.
He was also ordered to cover costs of £90 and pay a victim surcharge of £34.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
