THE jury at Cardiff crown court trying a Newport businessman who is alleged to have made racist remarks to customers at a restaurant in the city has been discharged.
Tahir Ullah's counsel Andrew Jones was suddenly taken ill.
Recorder Charles Fox discharged the jury and adjourned the case to be re-tried on Monday April 7.
Ullah was released on bail.
The Recorder said it would not be right for Ullah to expect another member of the bar to pick up the case at such a late stage.
Ullah of Cedar Road, Newport, has denied a charge of racially aggravated harassment.
