The A4042 in Llanellen, near Abergavenny has been closed due to severe flooding.
Police advised drivers to take an alternative route and diversions are in place via Gypsy Lane, the Hardwick roundabout and Southern Gypsy Lane at Llanellen.
There are temporary traffic lights on Gypsy Lane so delays should be expected, particularly at peak times.
