DRIVING a car with too many passengers has seen an Ammanford man fined by magistrates.
Ashley Freeman, of Lon Y Gruglas, Ammanford, was driving a Peugeot 107 on the A483 Bonllwyn to Llandybie, on May 23, with a total of five people in the car, which is designed to carry a maximum of four.
Llanelli Magistrates heard that the action of the 21-year-old involved “danger of injury to a person”.
The case against Freeman was proved under the single justice procedure on October 25. He was not present in court for the hearing.
Magistrates fined Freeman £440, ordered him to pay a £44 surcharge to fund victim services and £90 costs.
His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.
