A SPOOKTACULAR club night is coming to Newport this weekend, following a sell-out show earlier this month.

‘Port Electro – a monthly electro and alternative club night which raises money for charity – returns to the city centre on Saturday, October 30.

This will be a Hallowe’en special hosted at The Stow Hill Rooms (upstairs in Pen and Wig on Stow Hill) from 8pm to midnight.

As always there will be a fang-tastic range of music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s with some horror tunes to be expected.

It is £4 entry and this month will be raising money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK.

South Wales Argus:

Earlier this month ‘Port Electro hosted a Gary Numan Tribute act (featuring Pat Martin and the Liquid) to a sell-out crowd and raised £450 for charity in memory of Caroline Jones.

Ian Bode and Alyson Waite who organise the event, along with their partners, said: “A big thank you to everyone who came to the club night on October 9.

“The fantastic show by The Liquid Engineers guaranteed a record turnout and as a result we are thrilled to be able to donate £450 to British Heart Foundation Cymru in memory of Caroline Jones, a friend of Alyson.

“We’ve had so many lovely comments on our Facebook page which is great. We would also like to thank Tom and the staff at The Pen & Wig for having us, we had such a fun night!"
