A FLOOD alert is in effect for three Gwent rivers after a night of heavy rain which has continued into this morning.
The alert, issued by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) covers the Rivers Ebbw, Sirhowy and Lwyd.
NRW reported that river levels at Cwm, Abertillery, Aberbeeg, Risca, Rhiwderin, Ynysddu and Ponthir were rising earlier this morning.
Rain is forecast for much of today, with thunderstorms expected tomorrow.
