FASHION chain Peacocks has returned to Newport with a new shop in a city retail park.
The opening of the new store comes after its city centre shop closed down a year ago.
“It is with great pleasure we announce that Peacocks will once again have a presence in Newport following our closure last year," store manager Ceri Thomas said. "The store looks amazing and we’re sure our new and existing customers will love it as much as we do.”
The new shop sells women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, and is now open at the Newport Retail Park, in Spytty Road.
Work is currently ongoing to redevelop the old Peacocks site in the city's Kingsway Shopping Centre.

The space will become as a temporary Covid recovery job centre.
Plans were submitted to Newport City Council by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), as part of plans to help people left out of work as a result of the pandemic.
“The proposed change of use will support the local economy through the provision of job support, largely aimed at those who have been affected by the Covid pandemic," read the planning documents submitted to the council.
