ONE of Wales’ seven newly reported deaths relating to Covid-19 was recorded in the Gwent region.
This brings the total to 1,064 for the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board according to Public Health Wales.
The Wales total now stands at 6,184 according to the board.
Of the 2,492 newly recorded cases in Wales, 550 were recorded in the Gwent area. Caerphilly continues to record some of the highest cases, with the latest being 162. Only Cardiff with 349 and Swansea with 224 are higher.
134 new cases were recorded in Newport, 100 in Monmouthshire, 79 in Torfaen and 75 in Blaenau Gwent.
