THE latest coronavirus figures from Public Health Wales show that, while cases in Caerphilly remain high, new cases in Newport have lowered.
There have been 17 new deaths in Wales, taking the total up to 6,201 according to the Public Health Wales figures.
Of those deaths, four of those were in Gwent, with the death toll for the area now standing at 1,068.

There are 2,799 new cases in Wales including residents outside of Wales as of 9am on November 3.
Of these new cases, 565 originate in Gwent.
Caerphilly has the highest amount of new cases with 198 - 109.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In contrast, Newport has 54.3 cases per 100,000 people - one of the lowest rates in all of Wales.
Blaenau Gwent has one of the lowest amounts of new cases in Wales with 75, but its small population means that it has 107.4 cases per 100,000 people.
