  • NEWPORT

The St Julian’s Inn, on Caerleon Road, is holding a free firework display from 6.30pm tonight (November 5), with hot dogs and burgers on offer.

People should not bring their cars as the car park will be closed for the display and attendees are asked not to park on the kerb outside as this will block access; police officers and council wardens will be out this evening.

  • PONTHIR

Ponthir Community & Sports club will have a display tonight (November 5) – but people who’ve not already got a ticket may have to queue as they’re no longer for sale online.

The fun will start from 6pm, with the main event kicking off around 7pm. There will be fireworks, food, and a fully stocked bar.

Due to limited parking their car park will only be available to Blue Badge holders – it’s recommended that guests walk, get dropped off, or car share and consider (safe and considerate) parking alternatives.

The venue has also designated an area for wheelchair users to ensure they don’t have to get over potentially muddy grass

Tickets are £5 for adults, and £3 for children under the age of 14.

  • MONMOUTH

A firework display is being hosted by the River Wye at Monmouth Rowing Club tonight. Gates will open at 6pm, with a bonfire at 6.30pm, and fireworks at 6.45pm.

There will be food, including burgers and ice-cream. Tickets are £6 for adults, £3 for children under the age of 14, and £15 for a family of two adults and two children.

  • DEVAUDEN

The Hood Memorial Hall, in Devauden (Monmouthshire), has fun in store tonight including music and food.

Gates open at 5.30pm, with live music from 6.15pm, a fire from 6.30pm and the display starting at 7pm. Entry is free, but donations are welcome.

  • CAERLEON

Caerleon AFC, on Cold Bath Road, is hosting a firework display this Saturday (November 6) – it’s a ticket only event.

There will be a bar and grill, with gates shutting at 7.15pm and the display from 7.30pm. You can get your tickets (£4 for adults and £2 for children) from the club between 7pm and 9pm tonight (November 5) or call 07970 652621 for details.

  • MATHERN

Mathern Athletics Club’s display will be hosted on Saturday (November 6).

The evening will include a barbecue, music, bar, mulled wine, and a raffle – the gated open at 4.30pm with a fire from 5pm and the fireworks from 6pm.

Tickets are not required; it’s cash on the gate - £3 for adults, £2 for children, and free for children under the age of five.

  • CHEPSTOW

On Sunday (November 7) Chepstow Round Table is hosting a fireworks night at Chepstow Comprehensive School on Welsh Street.

There will be attractions, stalls, food, and a tombola. The gates open at 4.30pm, with the main event starting at 7pm.

Entry is free, but donations are welcome.
