Just three areas of Gwent have Covid case rates above 1,000 over the last seven days, as rates across the region have fallen.
MSOA (middle layer super output areas) data released by Public Health Wales revealed that last week there were 17 areas where more than one in 100 people had tested positive for coronavirus.
This week, that number has dropped to three.
The highest rate between October 26 and November 1 was found in Crosskeys North and Abercarn, in Caerphilly.
Over that period, 84 new cases gave the area a case rate of 1,154.8 per 100,000 people.
The other areas with Covid rates above 1,000 are Bargoed in Caerphilly, and Usk, Goytre & Llangybi Fawr in Monmouthshire.
Rates across the region have fallen from last week, with every local authority reporting a lower case rate between October 26 and November 1 than between October 19 and October 25.
