GWENT Police is appealing for information following a distraction burglary in Chepstow.
It happened on Pwllmeyric Hill on November 5 at about 10.30am.
Two men, claiming to be from the water board, distracted the owner and stole a large amount of jewellery.

Remember, always ask anyone who calls at your home unexpectedly for ID, and follow this advice:
• If in doubt keep them out - don't let them pressure you into opening the door
• Call a neighbour or family member who can help verify a cold caller
• Call the police to report suspicious incidents on 101 - if a distraction burglar or rogue trader is still in the area call 999
