ONE of Wales’ four newly recorded deaths relating to Covid-19 was recorded in the Gwent region according to Public Health Wales.
This brings the total in the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board to 1,078. According to Public Health Wales, Wales’ total is now at 6,276.
Of the 2,784 newly recorded cases of Covid in Wales, 554 cases were recorded in Gwent. 185 of these were in the Caerphilly borough, 118 in Newport, 106 in Torfaen, 85 in Monmouthshire and 60 in Blaenau Gwent.

Only Cardiff and Swansea recorded more cases than Caerphilly.
