IKEA have announced they will offer ‘Green Friday’ discounts on buy-back and resell furniture as part of their Black Friday sales.
It follows the launch of its ‘Buy Back’ scheme in May which allows customers to sell their old furniture back to the retailer.
The initiative means customers can earn up to £250 per returned item, which will be given to them in the form of a voucher to spend at the store.
Ikea customers can get 20 per cent off new furniture
Members signed up to the store’s loyalty scheme can take advantage of an extra 20 per cent off new items as part of the ‘Green Friday’ promotion.
The offer runs from today (November 19) to November 29.
Ikea’s UK and Ireland commercial activities leader, Anna Liakh said: “During the busiest shopping period of the year, of course we want to offer our customers a discount which they can use and benefit from.
“However, it’s important that we consume thoughtfully all year round.
“We are happy to be boosting buy back gift card vouchers by 20 per cent so that customers can invest this discount into something they really need, either now or at a later date.”
